Dr. Markus Riester

Markus is a Senior Technology and Business Strategy Consultant and IMD IECC Executive Coach. With his broad technical and business background and experience in healthtech, diagnostics and digital health, he helps drive organisations forward, initiating and facilitating change with a positive impact on individuals and teams.

His main interest is in helping to design optimal processes in production-oriented companies, setting up and optimising (and digitalising) production processes, developing a product development plan, promoting the use of a quality management system as a cornerstone of the organisation and setting up an optimal organisational structure. It strives to create excellence by design.

As an executive coach, Markus works with management teams and individual managers on organisational and personal change. Markus has worked as Head of Research and Development, CTO and Technology Scout at various companies. He is co-founder and was CEO of several tech start-ups. Markus has a PhD in chemistry, an engineering degree in chemical technology and holds over 30 patents. He is an experienced reviewer and innovation expert for the European Commission and was a member of the supervisory and strategy committee of Fraunhofer Institutes and Joanneum Research (Austria). He has been honoured with two awards for innovation and entrepreneurship.
