When searching for an internship during my semester break, one thing was particularly important to me: gaining real insight into the management consulting industry, getting involved and creating added value. I specifically sought out a boutique consulting firm, as I hoped to find a manageable and trusting environment for my first relevant internship.
That's when I came across CO Improve, a small and highly professional management consultancy specialising in innovation, product development and agile working methods.
After submitting my speculative application, things moved quickly and I soon received an invitation to come in for an initial meeting. The interview was very pleasant and I immediately felt at ease. The way my colleagues interacted with each other and, above all, with me convinced me that CO Improve was exactly what I was looking for and would offer me the right environment to gain my first impressions of the working world.

an internship at eye level right from the start
What is remarkable about CO Improve is the high level of trust that interns are given. I was involved in current customer projects (e.g. in the automotive industry), accompanied senior consultants to customers throughout Germany, participated in workshops and training courses, and thus gained a complete and realistic insight into the everyday life of a consultant. I also participated in internal projects and contributed my own ideas at exciting meetings, such as the marketing circle.
I was given tasks that I could carry out independently. This enabled me to apply the theoretical knowledge I had gained during my studies and achieve practical results. A big plus point was that I always had a permanent contact person at my side whom I could approach if I had any questions.

The open and helpful attitude of the entire team was a key factor in the work culture. This atmosphere created a dynamic working environment in which I was encouraged to actively contribute my own ideas and views. Thanks to the flat hierarchies, I had the opportunity to work with colleagues from different areas and levels of experience and benefit from their impressive expertise. This supportive approach to collaboration encourages everyone in the company to contribute their creative ideas, which contributes to a highly innovative atmosphere.
