My name is Felix and I completed a two-month internship at the management consultancy CO Improve during my bachelor's degree. I gained extensive insights into the job description of a consultant and valuable experience working on exciting projects.

How did this come about?

Proactive application - quickly convinced and launched

In a nutshell, the situation was something like this:

There was a gap of two months between my ERASMUS semester abroad and the next summer semester in Germany, which I didn't want to leave unused. I then sent an unsolicited application to CO Improve, which came to my attention through a job advert. It wasn't long before I received an invitation to an interview in Eschborn. It was a pleasant interview in which it became clear to me that CO Improve was the right fit for me and that I wanted to become part of the team.

What was my job?

Practice that connects - project work and agile culture

My activities spanned several projects. I accompanied senior consultants on site with customers or took part in exciting meetings. I worked with my colleagues on both internal and external projects that were relevant to my degree programme and thus brought the theory from my studies to life with practical experience. Looking back, I am proud of the contribution I was able to make.

I also got to know the agile side of CO Improve. In addition to the consulting projects, the internal structure is also agile, with flat hierarchies and direct, honest feedback discussions. These have particularly helped me to improve on both a professional and personal level.

How was my time at CO Improve?

An internship with real team spirit and enjoyment of working together

First of all, I would like to emphasise that I really enjoyed this internship. I got to know a lot of helpful, great people with whom I would like to stay in contact in the future. The interaction with each other was always respectful, trusting and appreciative. I enjoyed going to the office in Eschborn, I was usually able to concentrate better there and when you get to know your colleagues there, you have an additional reason for each individual.
