The EU regulation on artificial intelligence (AI Act) comes into force today - a milestone for the regulation of AI systems in the EU. Companies are now obliged to train their employees in the use of AI.

Using AI responsibly - securing innovation, managing risks

Legally compliant and smart use of AI

The AI Act sets clear rules to prevent misuse, protect fundamental rights and enable innovation at the same time. The regulation is based on a risk-based approach: the higher the risk of an AI application, the stricter the regulations. Here is an overview of the most important points:

  • Objective of the AI Act: to ensure that AI applications are not misused and that fundamental rights are protected.
  • Freedom for innovation: Science and industry should still be able to work innovatively despite regulation.
  • Risk-based approach: The higher the risk of an AI application, the stricter the legal requirements.
  • Prohibited AI systems: Manipulative AI for targeted behavioural influence and AI-based ‘social scoring’ (evaluation of individuals based on behaviour).
  • Transparency requirement: Artificially generated or edited content (audio, images, videos) must be labelled as such.
  • Regulation of high-risk AI: Affects critical infrastructure, employment, healthcare and banking, and strict requirements for approval on the EU market.
  • Low risk: Low-risk AI applications are subject to only limited transparency and information requirements.

For many companies, this is an important step towards integrating AI safely, efficiently and responsibly into their everyday work. At the same time, it poses new challenges:

  • How do you equip employees with the right skills to use AI in a targeted manner?
  • Where is the greatest potential for creativity and efficiency?

This is exactly where we come in.

As experts in product development – especially for mechatronic products – we support medium-sized and large companies in the introduction of generative AI.

What we offer:

  • Training courses that enable your teams to use AI confidently and productively.
  • Awareness and potential workshops that show you specific areas of application.
  • Strategy development that ensures AI creates long-term value.

Our goal?

Not just to meet legal requirements, but to make AI a real competitive advantage for your company!

Let's take the next step together – we'll take your product development to the next level!
